Eurapo celebrates Pordenone as host city by promoting a concert performed by the RAI Symphony Orchestra and an exhibition of artist Vico Calabrò.
During the Pordenone stage of the 100th “Giro d’Italia” bicycle race, Eurapo will continue its mission to promote initiatives and events that enrich the cultural offerings available on the territory by flanking the “Giuseppe Verdi” Municipal Theatre in the role of main sponsor of various events. The most important of these will be the concert performed by the RAI National Symphony Orchestra on 26th May at 8.45 p.m.
Conducted by James Conlon and featuring Ray Chen as first violin, the orchestra will perform a repertoire that draws from exceptional, 20th century Russian compositions: Funeral Song op. 5 and Le sacre du printemps by Igor Stravinskij; Concert n. 1 in A minor op. 77 by Dmitrij Šostakovič.
Just like other important events held in the Municipal Theatre, this one too is part of the Eurapo Culture project: www.eurapocultura.it.
On the list of events promoted by us for the Giro d’Italia there are also three exhibitions organised in the theatre foyer. One of these regards artist Vico Calabrò who will be exhibiting fifty works documenting over thirty years as illustrator of the bicycle race.
